David Green

David Green (Books) is the imprint under which I publish booklets of my own poems, or did. The 'Collected Poems' are now available as a pdf. The website is now what it has become. It keeps me out of more trouble than it gets me into. I hope you find at least some of it worthwhile.

World Chess

It's here and now, if you want it and can stand having to start again once you lose the link,

Chess 24 Carlsen-Caruana

Having been glued to this esoteric irrelevance since I got home, I thought I got home in time to see Carlsen make the decisive move but he failed to find the way through. But, now, grinding it out as he does, 1-0 isn't over until it's over.
I'm mainly only on his side because I said he was a sound bet at 1/3.

Interesting to hear commentator Grischuk's baby crying in the background while he's on Skype. And his deeply Russian attitudes. All he knows of Michael Jackson is Thriller, which is a very good reason to be older than him and not a chess specialist.

Meanwhile, I arrived at 1893 for 10 minute games at Chess 24 and am now like Achilles in his tent, unwilling to take part. I'll wait until I feel like playing, pick a likely opponent to take 7 points off and be 1900+ at both disciplines, which flatters me outrageously but will be officially true.
